Talk To God

BEEN SO GOOD - Its Gossip with the energy of urban jazz and R&B community in a unique style.

BEEN SO GOOD - Its Gossip with the energy of urban jazz and R&B community in a unique style.

The Motor City has given birth to great gospel artists like The Winans Family, The Clark Sisters, J. Moss, and Deitrick Haddon. We had paved the way for many choirs throughout the world with great conductors such as the Rev. Charles Nick and Thomas Whitfield. who could forget Aretha Franklin singing at the Daddy's church and tearing the house down with "Mary Don't You Weep?" Motown has definitely made it mark.

Detroit can't be stopped when it comes to gospel music. Thats is why Sean Harding joins the city's best and testifies that God has "Been Good". On his new release on NuHouse Records, Sean Hardin lets you know that God is more than fiction. He is joined with his group Obadiah ringing in the background echoing his sentiments.

Sean Hardin was introduced to the gospel arena at an early age. He is a product of Detroit suburb, Highland Park. He has always loved singing and has made that known by way of local band, community choirs, background singer to Deitrick Haddon, A & R of ManHaddon Entertainment founded by Deitrick Haddon, and now his own solo project.

When hs is not preaching, fathering, working, or playing the organ, Sean is singing. He has also put his writing talent to work on his new CD. When you listen you will know that he has high energy and he wants to present God with it. All the tracks give Sean's personal testimony of overcoming and triumphing in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessing Of The Month - May 2008 Pastor Kathy Dukes

*Katherine M. Dukes*

Tis the Season! New Beginnings and a more thorough understanding of “Relentless faith”. It all sounds so surreal, but this is life after death for Pastor Katherine M. Dukes AKA “ Kay Kay “ . She has witnessed the trials and tribulations of life at an early age and at one point in her life she believed she was dealt a bad hand. Years of struggle, adversities then later forgiveness, proved her otherwise. She’s learned the game and how to play it, always having God within her to lead her.

Pastor Katherine M. Dukes, born in March of 1970 on the detox unit of
Grasslands Hospital, Valhalla N.Y., had a childhood unlike the normal
lifestyle most children experienced. Her mind, body and soul were violated and corrupted by the appetite of the worldly prowls. She developed into a human shell without a functional conscious or direction, coercing her to live a lie. From then on the paths she chose were painfully brutal. At an early age Katherine was abandoned, molested, raped, traumatized and abused. Katherine lost all hope and aspirations and shortly decided after to drop out of high school. Katherine was literally running for her life. Little did she know that her happiness was right before her; she only had to find “God”.

At the age of 18 Katherine became pregnant, conceiving her only child (David John Miranda) at the age of 19. Drug dealing and violence became the answer for her survival, as she sadly became content with what
all she thought the world had to offer. To live in the streets you had to
become the streets as did Katherine. Carrying fire-arms, riding in luxury
cars, wearing expensive clothes and simultaneously absorbing the
repercussions that were attached to the fast life. Katherine embraced the
façade of being untouchable. People placed her on a pedestal and allowed her the accolades of street life. She believes now, if she had listened to
the voice within, “God” she would have escaped years of pain. Her personal
friendships flourished into business ventures, introducing her to the
entertainment business.

Pretty & Perfect Entertainment was the first of many business opportunities. Katherine launched her first management company with artists “Total” of Badboy Entertainment. Time passed and so did
Katherine’s interest in the management game, forcing her to return to the profession had mastered as “Kay Kay” from W116thStreet Harlem USA.

Money, Money Money that’s all it was about until the game became a matter of life and death. Katherine chose to LIVE!

In 1993 Katherine found God. She was saved right after a late term abortion
under the prayerful hands of the ministry of Pastor William D. Moore of Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Methodist Church in Mount Vernon, NY. She immediately emerged unto God’s wings and NEVER looked back. Soon after she opened a small quaint bookstore “In the Name of Jesus”. The bookstore was only the beginning. God had more in store for Katherine than she could have ever imagined. In 1997 she transferred to Friendship Worship Center under Bishop C.E. Edwers and made a 360 degree turn giving the ministry her all. Katherine was appointed youth leader and later preached her initial sermon in June 1999. She continued to as Youth Minister and the Spiritual Enhancement Facilitator for Leak and Watts Foster Care Agency in Yonkers, NY.

The time had finally come. After years of soul searching, praying and winning souls, Katherine devoted herself to the Pastorate of The Church of the Remnant Mission in Harlem, NY. Katherine preaches a saving gospel to the lost and hope to the hopeless. Katherine also has a passion for showing God to the GODLESS and Holiness to the HOOD. Pastor Dukes encourages others to persevere and focus on their position in life. Currently she is writing an autobiography entitled “Regardless…. Her Story", in which she describes her relentless faith through all the trials, triumphs and challenges that she has had to face. Katherine encourages others through God’s Grace to remain steadfast. Simultanously this woman of the cloth teaches and preaches the Word of God both locally and abroad. Remnant Life Application Center is the newest assignment where she teaches others to Live the Word of God. This well-grounded woman of God has committed herself to being God’s instrument and to be a blessing to others.

*“Then the Word of the Lord came unto me saying Before I formed thee I knew thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou comest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and ordained thee a prophet unto the nations”
Jeremiah1:4-5*

Flowing in the Living Waters of Jesus Christ

I see our walk with the Lord as being more of a flow, like a river instead of a series of starts and stops. So, this is how I currently perceive the spiritual and prophetic flow. A new Plateau, which is basically a higher altitude of revelation and service in the kingdon, and the Lord is causing us to arise to this new spiritual level. The first revelation is regarding "Binding and Loosing", Opening and Shutting, Allowing and Forbidding. Matthew16:19 saids, "And I will give you the keys of th… Continue

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Curb recording artist Natalie Grant has become the first artist in 13 years to win the GMA Dove Award for Female Vocalist of the Year three consecutive times. Grant received the honor at last night’s ceremony in Nashville, which was broadcast live on the Gospel Music Channel. Not since Twila Paris earned the Dove Award for Female Vocalist of the Year from 1993-1995 has this distinction been achieved.

The 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards broadcast also featured show-stopping performances from some of the top artists in Christian music and beyond, including the electrifying duet “Bring It All Together” by Grant and country superstar Wynonna.

Grant’s critically-acclaimed seventh recording, Relentless, released in February and was the highest debut and top album by a female artist on both Nielsen SoundScan’s Top Christian Albums and Christian Retail charts. With a formidable foothold at mainstream media and radio, Grant is a featured speaker and performer on the Women of Faith and Revolve Tours and is an outspoken advocate for victims of international human trafficking.

Her “Relentless Tour,” with special guest Jimmy Needham and introducing new artist Ashmont Hill, will be making stops in Pittsburgh; Chicago; Tupelo, Mississippi; Mobile, Alabama; and Knoxville, Tennessee, before concluding May 18 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

TYE TRIBBETT STANDS OUT WITH NEW RELEASE: One of Gospel’s greatest performers releases third album
Gospel performer Tye Tribbett is about to release his third full-length album on May 6 titled “Stand Out.” It was recorded live at Rock Church International in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

When one listens to his lyrics and feels the sprit which encompasses Gospel performer Tye it’s easy to see that he is indeed anointed.

A native of Camden, New Jersey, Tribbett, whose father was a preacher and mother was a choir director, heard his calling early on.

“Stand Out,” premieres a collection of spirit-filled musical testimonies to the power of the living Word. With his new songs, Tye Tribbett is ready to stand up for the “rock of ages.”

"I want to offer the truth," says Tribbett. "I want to offer what is superior. I want to present a standard. There is nothing more solid than Jesus Christ and His Word."

Stand Out is a project that delivers not only truth, but the standard that Tribbett hopes to bring to his audience.

"An experience is over once the moment is gone," he continues. "Once something is established, it will start when you hear it at that moment, but it will never stop. The standard of choosing right over wrong and light over darkness is, to me, the standard. God loves us so much but He is disappointed. I want to present Christ as the standard."

Tye and the members of Greater Anointing, a family united in ministry with everyone from his beloved wife of ten years to his brothers, sisters and cousins, started their ministry “by song” in 1996.
Produced entirely by Sound Check, the production entity consisting of Tye and his two brothers, “Stand Out” firmly establishes the unit as strong songwriters and state—of-the-art producers.
